It is a software application that guides you through a 6 gate review system of a product realisation process; it is aimed at suppliers that is not design responsible and starts at the feasibility review assessment. This application ensures that you complete every step of the realisation stages and can be customized to include any company specific processes.

The following steps are covered by this software:

  • Feasibility review (gate 1)

  • Quotation review (gate 2)

  • Planning review (gate 3)

  • Engineering/ process verification review (gate 4)

  • Product/ process validation review (gate 5)

  • Process/ production/ systems handover (gate 6)

The process starts with defining the scope, ID the project leader, selecting the project members,  initial risk assessment, selecting the customer reference/ part numbers, defining annual sales/ volumes/ project duration and due date.

During the project TGW/ TGR (Things gone wrong/ right) can be summarized that might be useful for new projects. The project information page also gives you an overview of the project status at all times (System recommendation VS management decision) and pending or outstanding actions.

 

Each gate review consists of;

  • Questionnaire sheet applicable to the required steps within the product realisation process.

  • An action plan template, id the required action, assigned the responsibility and due date and refer then for easy tracking.

  • System recommendation and management decision

  • Management feedback for each review.

To ensure time is not wasted all actions pending/ outstanding will appear on a separate page sorted by responsible person that allows for easy reviews and tracking.

2 Project index pages are available, current projects and completed cancelled projects.

Projects are categorised based on project status and progress and indicates the status on the index page.

 

Links are automatically generated where customers/ project leaders, responsible individuals are assigned and detail buttons make it easy to brows through this application.

Reports are available to print for all gate reviews/ project summary pages and pending outstanding actions.
