Your main differences between any safety, health, environmental and quality management systems are your approach to risk assessments, the approach to manage, measure, correct and continual improvement should be the same.

The Environmental aspect and impact assessment software provides this systematic approach with predefined parameters to eliminate human inconsistency.

The approach is almost identical the health and safety risk assessments with risk analysis, legal compliance and only the parameters for risk identification that is different.

NEXES Environmental aspect and impact assessment software is a risk assessment tool, risk management tool, and ensuring legal compliance by facilitating your legal register and allowing application definition of your legal obligations of your health and safety risks.

It is a great tool for environmental risk management and ideal to comply with ISO 14001 requirements.

Environmental legal register is populated within the software, showing the legal reference, heading and the application it might have on the environmental aspects. A hyperlink function is made available to access the actual register if available within an electronic medium.

An evaluation master can be printed for legal compliance audits.

All environmental aspects are recorded, the impact it has on the environment, adverse or beneficial and the legal references are selected applicable to the environmental aspect.

All organisational processes are defined and registered.

The risk assessment consists of three evaluator factors:

  • Severity (What is the potential outcome) What is the influence on the environment

  • Probability (What is the likelihood it could occur)

  • Mitigation (What has been done to detect a deviation or prevent and incident) Included are training, training effectiveness, physical containment, and process controls.

A calculation of the above gives a RPN (risk priority number)

Current controls and opportunities for improvement are entered. The legal reference linked earlier is pulled through so that a report can be run to show all relevant information related to the environmental aspect. Registry available to register and hyperlink any associated documentation or medium.

Any OFI’s or corrective measures entered is automatically tracked , the assessment and the entire history can be printed as a report.

An organisation can establish its own RPN and severity thresholds.

A Pareto analysis and risk assessment details are available for monitoring, measurement, management feedback and corrective action requirements. This allows you to manage by exception.

Environmental review meetings are more effective as you only have to review the registered items declared as high risk and the pending and outstanding actions page.
